PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte, an electrolytic solution or a solid electrolyte showing an excellent cycle characteristic, for use with an electrochemical device such as a lithium battery, a lithium ion battery, or an electric double-layer capacitor, and to provide a battery using it. SOLUTION: The electrolyte for an electrochemical device is composed of the compound represented by general formula 1 and at least one kind of compound selected from the group of compounds represented by Aa+(PF6-)a, Aa+(ClO4-)a, Aa+(BF4-)a, Aa+(AsF6-)a or Aa+(SbF6-)a. An electrolytic solution or a solid electrolyte using the electrolyte and a battery are described. In the general formula, M is a transition metal or an element in group III, IV or V of the periodic table and Aa+ is a metal ion, a proton or an onium ion. |
