PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upside clamping battery terminal which does not make a bracket deform when clamping a clamping piece by the bracket. SOLUTION: A taper, widening out toward outside against the center line of extending direction of side part 11, 12, is formed at both side ends of clamping piece 41, 42, 43, 44 of the terminal body 40, and the taper angle of side pieces 61, 62 locating at the outside of two side pieces 61, 62 of a bracket 60 is made bigger than the taper angle of side the pieces 61, 62 locating at the inside of two side pieces 61, 62 of the bracket 60.
