PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that can solve problems of a conventional facsimile terminal and cope with how to utilize future facsimile communication that will be furthermore diversified. SOLUTION: The communication terminal is provided with distribution tables describing selection conditions where attribute information items (caller numbers, incoming dial-in numbers, and networks through which incoming calls come or the like) of received data and specific data boxes are cross-referenced with each other according to each attribute information and also with a priority table where the priority of the distribution tables by each attribute information is specified. The distribution tables are referenced in the order described in the priority table and the communication terminal compares the attribute information of the received data with the attribute information registered in the distribution tables and stores the received data to a data box corresponding to the coincident attribute information.
