A composition for increasing the generation rate of the pig embryo is provided to reduce fragmentation, thereby improving the generation rate of the pig embryo. A composition for increasing the generation rate of the pig embryo contains an antioxidizing agent as an active ingredient. Preferably the antioxidizing agent is at least one antioxidizing agent selected from the group consisting of cysteine, taurine and glutathione. Preferably the concentration of the antioxidizing agent is 0.1-50 mM.
