PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print controller that can quickly conduct color conversion, without deteriorating the image quality of image data. SOLUTION: In the case of applying color conversion to 1st image data, according to a 1st color system into 2nd image data in a 2nd color system, first a prescribed number of adjacent pixels is grouped into blocks. Secondly, block information which is information with respect to a gradation difference of the 1st image data between pixels is detected and the magnitude of gradation differences among the pixels in the block is discriminated, on the basis of the block information. Thirdly, color conversion is applied to blocks, whose gradation difference is small, without having to distinguish the pixels. The color conversion performed without distinguishing the pixels permits quick color conversion, while color conversion is applied to each pixel of the block having a large gradation difference avoid deterioration in the image quality. In this way, quick color conversion can be attained, without deteriorating the image quality.
