PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system that decreases the number of operation keys integrated in a remote controller, easily and surely selects an electronic device to be controlled, and selects two or three electronic devices to control in various modes. SOLUTION: The remote control system consists of the remote controller 10 and devices 40, 50, 60, the remote controller 10 is provided with common control keys 11-14 that give a common control instruction to the devices, selects or changes the devices, a selection decision key 18 that confirms the selected state of the devices and a selection decision key 17 that decides the devices. On the other hand, each of the devices 40, 50, 60 are provided with a reception means that receives a signal from the remote controller 10 and a light emitting section Em that informs a user about its own selection state by means of light emission when any of the devices is selected by the selection means of the remote controller.
