PURPOSE: A shifting control method for a low speed stage of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent the abrupt engine brake shock by controlling engine output torque by reducing a throttle valve opening degree in three stages gradually. CONSTITUTION: A shifting control method for a low speed stage of an automatic transmission includes the steps of determining whether a power-off up-shift request signal is input while driving a vehicle at a low speed stage(S100,S110), determining whether a power-off up-shift control condition is satisfied, outputting a signal for requesting the control of throttle valve opening degree in 3 stages and a duty signal for controlling the power-off up-shift control(S160).
