PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for removing naphthalene from coke oven gas using light oil and ethanol. The device makes the elimination of naphthalene by cooling only and solves the problems of impurity by keeping the high temperature of cokes gas. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises: absorbent oil supply line at the bottom part; a supply line of cooling water(3) to cool the cokes gas, distributed to all the cokes gas cooling line(1) and circulating through the whole cooler; more than two droplet eliminators installed in the ladder form to separate the above cokes gas and the cooling water and a mixture of light oil and ethanol supply line(10) among the above droplet eliminators, the volume content of the mixture being each 40-60% and its volume ratio to the flow volume of the cooling water being 1/100,000-1/10,000 ; a supply line of light oil(9) connected before the heat exchanger(2) of cool water supply line; and the supply line of cokes at the bottom part.
