PURPOSE: A method for treating wastewater using activated slag is provided to remove pollutant materials(Cr, Pb, etc.), chromaticity and chemical oxygen demand(COD) from wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The activated slag is prepared by the following steps: collecting slag generated from steelmaking process, grinding to 100-200mesh, and washing; drying at 200-230deg.C; activating at 550-650deg.C for 2hrs. Also, the wastewater is treated by contacting with carrier, activated slag, over 3hrs., wherein the quantity of carrier is more than 2g per 500ml wastewater.
