PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera that can identify recording abnormity at image recording. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with a detection means that detects recording abnormity of a static image signal in a recording medium during a recording operation period, when the static image signal is recorded on the recording medium and a warning means that outputs a warning in response to the detection of the recording abnormity by the detection means.
