<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic recording/reproducing method and device, capable of invalidating unstable measured values and improving the accuracy of adjustment, even when there is scratches or twists in a magnetic tape for adjustment or the disturbance of tape traveling due to the adhesion of a foreign substance or the like, during the automatic adjustment of a head-switching point. SOLUTION: When vertical synchronization signal is inputted, during the automatic adjustment of the head-switching point (S1, S2), phase time difference between a head-switching signal and the vertical synchronation signal is measured (S3), and at detection (S6, S8) of the continuation of a state where the variation (S4) between the phase time different measured in the preceding time and the one measured this time is held to be within a fixed range (S5) by a specific number of times, the stability of the measured phase time different is determind (S9), so that the adjustment time, based on stable (S10) and highly reliable measure values (S11, S12), is calculated (S13).</p> |
