PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position-related information presentation system which enables a user to have bodily sensation as if the user gathered information regarding an area by actually walking around. SOLUTION: A 3D map-information superimposing display means 2 reads 3D map data out of a 3D map storage means and displays area information such as town information related to an area displayed in the 3D map over the 3D map for the user. A position information retrieving means 7 retrieves information related to a new display position from the area information storage means 8 when the display of the 3D map is switched. A visual field decision means 5 detects an overlap between objects such as buildings viewed from the user's current position by using a map in a map database 6 when the area information is displayed overlapping with the 3D map. A position information filtering means 4 retrieves area information related to objects that the user can see from pieces of retrieved are a information.
