PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for processing block foundation video capable of removing blocking phenomena occurring in processing the block foundation video by using space variable filtering based on the logic of video restoration. SOLUTION: The method is provided with a step for dividing a video- processed signal into prescribed block units, a stage for detecting the direction of an edge with respect to the video of the respective blocks, a step for band- pass filtering of the video-processed signal differently by each kind of the edge direction, a step for selecting one of the video signals given the band-pass filtering corresponding to the edge direction and a step for composing the video signals selected to the respective blocks to obtain an original video from which the block phenomena is removed. Thus, it is possible to remove not only the blocking phenomena occurring from the block foundation processing process of still video and moving video but also that occurring as the result of processing video by block foundation in real time and at high speed. |
