PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal reproducing device in which a phase control loop and an equalization control loop are made respectively to be dual constitution and correct phase error detection is made to be performed after adaptive equalization is performed and the loops are made to perform constant convergence. SOLUTION: In this device, effect of the remainder of the equalization to the phase control loop can be reduced and suitable phase error detection can be performed and also stable loop control is made possible by controlling an adaptive equalizer so as to changeover weights for every tap coefficient which is updated at all times by the adaptive equalization by the number of synchronous patterns posterior to decoding.
