PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual authentication device capable of completing authentication without waiting a photographed person for a long time. SOLUTION: This individual authentication device executing the individual authentication by use of biometrics data specific to a living body includes a storage part previously storing registration data obtained by applying transformation for emphasizing a frequency domain to the biometrics data; an acquisition part acquiring the biometrics data from an individual to be authenticated; a transformation part applying the transformation for emphasizing the frequency domain to the biometrics data obtained by the acquisition part; a calculation part executing one of multiplication and division between the registration data and the biometrics data transformed by the transformation part; an inverse transformation part applying transformation for emphasizing a time domain to a value obtained by the calculation part; and an authentication part executing the individual authentication by comparing a value obtained by the inverse transformation part with a prescribed threshold value.
