PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester-based film for capacitor that is superior in blocking resistance, rewindability, and heat-sealing property, and to provide a capacitor using the film. SOLUTION: The polyester-based film for capacitor is obtained, by forming a heat-bonding resin layer consisting essentially of an amorphous polyester-based resin on at least one surface of a polyester-based base film. The heat-bonding temperature of the resin layer is adjusted to 90-120 deg.C. In addition, the resin layer contains inactive particles, having a mean particle diameter of 10-500 nm, area ratios of >=65% with respect to their circumscribed circle areas, and the degree of particle size fluctuation satisfying <=25% contained in amount of 1.0-15 mass%. The capacitor is manufactured by using the film.
