PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus controller and an electric apparatus control method that can collectively control and operate electric apparatus as installed in a living room or the like. SOLUTION: A personal computer 1 receives a control command of the electric apparatuses such as an air-conditioner 21, a stereo set 22, a television receiver 23, a video recorder 24 and a lighting fixture 25 from each computer 30 of the electric apparatuses via a communication channel L and the Internet INT, stores the command in a code memory of a control signal transmission/ reception unit 10, transmits the control command of each electric apparatus stored in the code memory from an infrared ray transmitting/receiving section of the control signal transmission/reception unit 10 so as to collectively control each electric apparatus. Thus, since the electric apparatuses can collectively be remotely controlled, without the need for using an exclusive remote controller and for allowing a learning remote controller to control commands of the electric apparatuses one by one as in a conventional manner, the convenience can be enhanced.
