PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage information retrieval service by using a network without the aid of an agent. SOLUTION: The terminals 31 to 33 of information providers in which filters constituted of the type of an event and an acquirement condition are set for transmitting data as the event and selectively receiving data transmitted as the event are connected through a meaning information network 10. Metadata of provided information are set in the terminals 31 to 33 of the information provides as the filters. An information retrieval person transmits the desired retrieval condition of information by a terminal 40 as a retrieval request event. The terminals 32 and 33 where metadata matched with the retrieval condition are set as the filters receive the retrieval request events. Introduction information is transmitted to the terminal 40 from the terminals 32 and 33 of the information providers 2 and 3 receiving the retrieval request event. The information retrieval person selects the information provider 3 and accesses the information.
