PURPOSE: A coil type scrap disposal system is provided to remove metal burden and of workers and unstable factors during working due to manual working by disposing the scraps using a system efficiently and automatically disposing coil type scraps generated from a recoiling line. CONSTITUTION: The coil type scrap disposal system comprises a grip unit comprising a sprocket(20) and a link chain(22) to which power is transmitted through a motor(19) driven by a sensor(18), a screw shaft(21) to the end of which the sprocket(20) is adhered, ball bearings(25) fixed to both ends of the screw shaft(21), an arm(23) to which a sensor is adhered to sense an outer diameter of a scrap coil, a boss(26) and a guide roll which fix the arm(23) to prevent shaking of the screw shaft, and a plate spring(24) adhered to the arms and equipped with a device that is suitably cohered to a size of the outer diameter of the scrap coil; a traverse unit which moves a grip frame(17) up and down and moves a traverse frame side to side, and comprises a plate type link to prevent shaking from side to side, a speed reducer and a gear coupling which are connected to a motor to transmit power, a wire rope which is coiled on two sets of wire drums and coiled or uncoiled through a shaft, a sheave guiding the wire rope so that the grip frame is smoothly operated vertically, a plate type link preventing vibration when the grip frame is ascended or descended, a traverse motor and a speed reducer to which power is transmitted through a gear coupling, and wheels using roller bearings so that the wheels are smoothly rotated on rails and endure loads; and a transfer unit which is driven by an air cylinder and comprises rails, wheels, and a frame so that the scrap box is loaded on the transfer unit and transferred.
