PURPOSE: A device for preventing chip scattering in a drilling machine is provided to prevent disorder of the drilling machine and to protect workers from safety accident by constituting a drill cover and a chip storing portion into the device. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing chip scattering in a drilling machine comprises a drill cover(30), a chip storing portion(33), and a return spring(36). The drill cover covers a drill to prevent safety accident essentially generated by the drill and a chip. The chip storing portion is installed in such a manner that its upper portion being slidably coupled to an inner surface of the drill cover by a guider and its lower portion being coupled to outer surface of a drill body, thereby being moved together corresponding to the movement of a drilling machine. The return spring is installed to outer side of the storing portion so as to restore original position of the storing portion.
