A portable terminal and a method for processing call signal in a portable terminal are provided to perform a video call without outputting a voice where a place silence is needed. A controller receives the video call signal through the wireless communications unit(S10). In the manner mode state, in case the video call signal is received, it is able to make a choice for a user whether user will lift if the user sustains the manner mode(S20). In case the manner mode is sustained, controller can transmit the information that the manner mode was maintained with the other side terminal(S30). In the state where as to the user, the manner mode is maintained, in case the video call is performed, its own image exposure whether or not can be selected(S50). The user can transmit Premier in the world if its own image exposure causes to be disliked(S60).
