PURPOSE: A device for automatically releasing/locking steering wheel tilt locking while riding is provided to prevent damage of a driver while riding on a vehicle by automatically releasing tilt locking. CONSTITUTION: A gearing member(5) is separated by controlling a tilt lever. A steering wheel is fixed by gearing the gearing member with a front step shape member(3) and a rear step shaped member(4) by restoring force of a spring. A rotary motor(6) is engaged with a sliding member by a lack pinion. A tile maintains a locking state in traveling by combining the gearing member with the front and rear step shaped members. The front step shaped member maintains a releasing state by operation of the rotary motor while combining the rear step shaped member to the gearing member. A circuit is operated by being interlocked according to on/off of a starting key by being mounted on the rotary motor. Thereby, a device for automatically releasing/locking steering wheel tilt locking while riding prevents damage of a driver while riding on a vehicle by automatically releasing tilt locking.
