COOLER SYSTEM AND MEANS FOR ASSEMBLING THEM IN CASTING MOLDS

The cooler system is intended for sand molds used to produce cast parts. The coolers are formed by several units or modules (5) that are somewhat loosely mounted on an support (4) and affixed thereto by a bar (7). A multiple cooler that is arranged on a pallet (3), another pallet (1) serving as mold support being in turn superimposed thereon, is thus formed, which enables displacement of the assembly in the chain of the casting facility. Assembly of the multiple cooler on the mold and its disassembly and removal relative to the cast part is performed automatically. Each unit or module (5) of the cooler may consist of one, two (5') or three parts (5''). Their assembly on the corresponding support (4) is carried out by allowing for looseness (6) in order to absorb the expansions and contractions caused by the heat conveyed by the molten metal.
