There is described the use of 5-hydroxy and 5-acyloxy-2,3-dihydro-4,6,7-trimethyl-2-benzofuranacetic acids and their esters and pharmaceutical compositions that contain them as active ingredients capable of favouring skin repair processes and stimulating angiogenesis.
