PROCESS FOR PRODUCING NANOCOMPOSITES OF STYRENE-BASED BLOCK COPOLYMERS

PURPOSE: Provided are nanocomposites of styrene-based block copolymers/organized montmorillonites, which are excellent in mechanical properties such as permeability and tensile strength. CONSTITUTION: The nanocomposites of styrene-based block copolymers/organized montmorillonites are produced by a process comprising the steps of: dissolving a polystyrene resin with a low molecular weight in tetrahydrofuran; mixing and drying the resultant with the organized montmorillonites to produce a masterbatch; melting and mixing the masterbatch and the styrene-based block copolymers. The polystyrene resin with a low molecular weight has a molecular weight of 5,000-20,000g/mol.
