<p>The invention relates to a container handling device for a container transport vehicle. The vehicle comprises a loading platform and supporting arms (8), which are arranged on both sides of said loading platform and which can be moved by means of a drive, whereby a container can be moved from the ground to the platform and from the platform to the ground. The container handling device is characterized by a carrying part (20), which can be mounted on each supporting arm (8), can be rotated about an approximately horizontal axis of rotation (A-A), and which supports a working arm (24; 100) whose opposite ends can be displaced in order to be able to change their distance from the axis of rotation. The container handling device is also provided with a rotary drive (26) for rotating the carrying part and a displacement drive (42) for displacing the ends of the working arm. The parts are arranged and the drives (10, 26, 42) can be controlled in such a manner that a container (6) located on the platform (4) can be held at one end of the working arm (24) and a container (90) located on the ground can be held at the other end of the working arm, and both containers can be exchanged by moving one over the top of the other.</p> |
