The invention relates to foldable packaging containers and container parts made of unplasticized thermoplastic foils (2), especially those from the group consisting of polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP) polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other mixtures and compositions thereof. The inventive packaging containers and parts are produced by stamping folded edges (4) with tools (5), said folds being linear, smooth and devoid of cross-section variations along the entire length thereof. The aim of the invention is to produce packaging blanks in a simple manner and with high precision and reproducibility, said blanks being able to be laid flat without springing back, without any danger of breaking when opened or assembled whereby the folded edges (4) are devoid of sharp-edged cross-sectional variations in the longitudinal directions thereof both on the outside and the inside. The folded edges (4) are produced using tools (5) with at least two parallel stamping edges (6, 7) containing respectively a linear cavity (8). Said tools (5) enable parallel grooves (9, 10) to be formed on each folded edge (4), each groove respectively containing a base. The deepest lines of the grooves (9,10) have a distance (x) of between 0.2 and 5mm. At least one linear projection (11) made of foil material is formed between two respective grooves (9, 10). The grooves (9, 10) enable the foil to be folded (2) by up to 180 DEG . The penetration depth (T) of the stamping edges (6, 7) is between 0.2 and 0.9 times the thickness of the foil (2).
