<p>A method of controlling a synchronous motor, which permits a low-cost constitution without using a position sensor, and can realize an excellent performance over a low- to high-speed-region range. A control operation unit (601) estimates a deflection angle PHI , and outputs to an inverter device (602) an instruction value signal of decreasing the inverter angular frequency of the inverter device (602) when the deflection angle PHI is positive, and of increasing the inverter angular frequency when the deflection angle PHI is negative. The inverter device (602) controls the synchronous motor (604) at an inverter angular frequency according to the instruction value signal.</p> |
