The energy use of individual parts (1-8) of the group are measured individually using measurement devices (11-18) that are connected to a central controller (9). Energy use over time of the individual components is monitored and compared graphically with an expected set energy use. An Independent claim is made for a corresponding device for monitoring energy use over time of individual electrical components within a house.
