The seal (5) seals a gap between the underside of a door and the top surface of a sill. It is formed as a sealing tape of elastomer material, and has walls enclosing a longitudinal hollow section (6). The first top wall (7) is fastened to the underside (8) of the door. The second wall (9) on the inside of the vehicle is a relatively thin-walled elastic hinge section, and is connected to the first wall. A third lower wall (11) is a thick-walled non-deformable slide section next to the second wall, with a stop section (12) facing the vehicle interior. A fourth wall (13) has a sealing lip (15) and is connected to the first wall.
