OFDM TRANSMITTER CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING SIZE OF PN AND INSERTING ADJUSTED PN INTO OFDM SYMBOL

An OFDM transmitter capable of inserting PN(Pseudo Noise sequence) into an OFDM symbol by adjusting size of the PN and a method of transmitting an OFDM signal are provided to insert PN information into the OFDM symbol, thereby transmitting the OFDM symbol. An FEC(Forward Error Correction) coding unit(100) performs coding about input data. An IDFT(Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform) unit(200) performs IDFT converting the coded data into an OFDM symbol. A PN insertion unit(400) inserts PN information and pre-sync/post-sync signals to the OFDM symbol in which the IDFT is performed. A pulse forming unit(500) performs pulse forming filtering about the OFDM symbol into which the PN information is inserted. An RF amplifier(600) performs RF conversion of the OFDM signal.
