A method for preparing liquid coffee containing buckwheat is provided to improve preference while keeping maximum effective components of buckwheat by pre-processing the buckwheat into thin gruel. A method for preparing liquid coffee containing buckwheat comprises the following steps of: adding 400-1500 parts of water to 100 parts of buckwheat; heating another 15-40 minutes after the mixture begins to generate bubbles; putting coffee, sugar and cream in hot water and adding them into the mixture; mixing 30-50wt% of thin buckwheat gruel and 50-70wt% of liquid coffee; re-heating the mixture until bubbles are generated; cooling the heated liquid coffee and packaging the product.
