PURPOSE: Texture masked particles and chewable tablets made therefrom are provided. The particles can be produced into a tablet form such as a chewable tablet form, which provides for the immediate release of the active ingredient and effectively mask a texture or taste of drug particles during eating. CONSTITUTION: Texture masked particles having an average particle size of 50 to 500μm comprise a core containing an active ingredient, a first coating layer containing a taste masking agent which substantially covers the core and a second coating layer which substantially covers the first coating layer or the core and comprises a film forming polymer and an anti-grit-agent. The taste masking agent comprises an enteric polymer and a mixture of a water-insoluble thin film-forming polymer.
