PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing water of a strip is provided to finally and completely remove water of the strip which is not removed at a final squeeze roll inside a degreasing tank at an exit side of the degreasing tank. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for removing water of a strip comprises bases(44) which are fixed to the exit side inside a degreasing tank, and to which guiding rods(40) are vertically fixed; upper and lower squeeze rolls(25,26) which are assembled into the lower part of the bases(44) so as to remove water as compressing a strip; a moving block(43) which is installed so that it is ascended or descended along the guiding rods(40) in which a pinion gear(42) and a rack gear rod(41) are driven by a motor(11) and a speed reducer(12); a cover(30) which is fixed to the moving block(43) in such a manner that the cover(30) is positioned at the upper part of the upper squeeze roll(25) so as to discharge the condensate water through a drain pipe after collecting dropped condensate water into a condensate water pan; cleaning cloth rolls(19,14) winding or unwinding a cleaning cloth(18) as the cleaning cloth rolls(19,14) are being connected to the moving block(43) so that the cleaning cloth rolls(19,14) are positioned in front and rear of the cover(30); and a pressing roll(17) which is installed at the cover(30) so that the pressing roll(17) is supported by supports(16), and which elastically presses the cleaning cloth(18) so that cleaning cloth(18) unwound from the cleaning cloth roll(19) is closely adhered onto the surface of the upper squeeze roll(25).
