PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip feeder which does not cause a tip of a leg of a clip to deform. SOLUTION: The clip feeder includes a clip holding plate 30 for reciprocating a clip at the head of a strip of clips comprising U-shaped and sheetlike clips coupled in a series for successively feeding to a binding position, and a leg crossing mechanism 40 provided on the plate 30 to be capable of opening/closing of crossing both legs of the clip by closing. The mechanism 40 is designed to close when the clip at the head is fed to the binding position. The feeder comprises a tear-off mechanism 70 for tearing the tip at the head from the strip of the clips by inserting a pin 83 into an insertion hole of a second clip in the strip of the clips and pulling it backward.
