PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming device, a method therefor, a memory medium, and an information processing device wherein an input time of data is reduced and a sticking material such as a label, a seal, an index card, etc., can be readily and quickly created. SOLUTION: In a printer 101, an article barcode 702 of an index card 701 attached to a music CD is read by using a barcode reader 107, and data corresponding to the read barcode is obtained from a database 601 in at least one of a computer 102 or a host device 202 on a network 201. As a result, a time period for inputting print data by a user can be reduced and a sticking material such as a label, a seal, an index card, etc., can be readily and quickly created.
