PURPOSE: A device for keeping a spare tire for an automobile is provided to take a spare tire out easily and conveniently. CONSTITUTION: A device for keeping a spare tire for an automobile has a box for keeping(4) to keep a spare tire(3) at the base of the floor panel of a rear vehicle body(1). Dampers(6) operated by a solenoid valve(5) are installed in front of the box for keeping by a piston(7). The rear of the box for keeping is connected with a slit rear bumper(8) in one. The box for keeping is moved back and forth along the guide rails adhered at the base of the floor panel. The rear bumper adhered in the rear of the box for keeping is coupled with the whole distal end portions(10a,10b) of the rear bumper with divided. Therefore, the spare tire is taken out easily and conveniently.
