<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymerized toner having stable electrostatic chargeability with small environmental dependence, not causing fog, giving high image density even in long-time use, excellent in image reproducibility and ensuring more uniform dispersion of a magnetic powder. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polymerized toner containing at least a bonding resin and a magnetic powder, having an average circularity of >=0.970 and having substantially no magnetic powder exposed to the surface comprises a dispersion step in which a magnetic powder surface-treated while hydrolyzing a coupler in an aqueous medium is dispersed as a colorant in a polymerizable monomer to obtain a monomer mixture, a granulation step in which the monomer mixture is dispersed in an aqueous dispersion medium to form particles of a polymerizable monomer composition and a polymerization step in which the polymerizable monomer composition is polymerized in the aqueous dispersion medium to form toner particles. In the dispersion step, dispersion is carried out by utilizing a stirrer with at least attached stirring blades 16, 17.</p> |
