PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of receiving the thrust force working on a sun roller sufficiently without any problem on permissible bearing pressure even if the shaft diameter of the sun roller becomes small attendant upon the miniaturization and lightening of a friction roller type speed change gear. SOLUTION: In a friction roller type speed change gear comprising the sun roller 11 to which input rotation is given, a fixed ring 12 arranged around the sun roller 11, a plurality of planet rollers 13 which are arranged between the sun roller 11 and the fixed ring 12 and perform rolling contact and a carrier 14 supporting each planet roller 13 rotatably and revolving on its axis due to the revolution of each planet roller 13, a plurality of balles 15 are arranged between the end of the sun rollers 11 and the carrier 14 and around the axis X of the sun roller 11.
