PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber winding bobbin capable of increasing overall strength by reducing the generation of wind caused by the rotation of the bobbin, and of shortening the washing time without generating deformation nor breakdown even when quickly braking after high speed rotation of the bobbin. SOLUTION: This optical fiber winding bobbin is formed of a cylindrical barrel part 20 and a pair of circular flange parts 21 and 22 provided in both sides of the barrel part, and winds up the optical fiber around the periphery of the barrel part with a rotary winding drive using a winding device. The pair of circular flange parts are sealed by complete circular lids, and this lid is formed with engagement holes 30 for transmitting the rotary drive by the winding device, a rotary shaft hole 31 as the center of rotation of the bobbin, and recessed parts 32 having a function as a handle.
