PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the large-sized heat exchanger for an air conditioner capable of coping with wide performance requirements. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger for an air conditioner is constituted by combining a plurality of laminated type heat exchanger modules 1 having flat heating tubes 2 and corrugated fins 3 that are alternately laminated with both ends of each flat heating tube 2 connected by headers 4 and 5. By such a constitution, a large-sized furnace is not required for manufacturing the laminated type heat exchanger modules 1, so that the large-sized heat exchanger for the air conditioner with a plurality of the laminated type heat exchanger modules 1 combined can be provided at a lower cost. Moreover, the number of combinations of the laminated type heat exchanger modules 1 is suitably selected, so as to cope with the wide performance requirements of the heat exchanger for the air conditioner easily. Furthermore, the equal split flow of refrigerant to each flat heating tube 2 is facilitated due to the small number of the flat heating tubes 2 in the laminated type heat exchanger module 1, so as to allow its performance to be drawn sufficiently and ensure to increase the heat exchanging capacity.
