Information filtering filters an electronic programme guide for each identification chain (CNI). There is an automatic search unit (38) with an information memory (18). A second memory (28) is obtained from the guide summary which modifies the information following an identification number. Only those digital word blocks corresponding to the requested identification numbers are recorded in the third memory (34).
