AUTOMATIC LAYOUT METHOD FOR FULL BLEED PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange the print region on a page such that trimming is minimized after printing by utilizing the capability of a printer for printing to the very limit of the edge of a page. SOLUTION: The capability of a printer performing full bleed printing at least at some of four edges of a sheet medium is utilized. Calculation for determining an appropriate movement is executed automatically in the arrangement of the print area of the sheet medium, and a decision is made whether the print area should be rotated in order to achieve best fit to the medium thus minimizing triming after printing. It is useful for both single side and both side printing.
