<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fitting an optical connector with which the gap loss produced between an optical fiber and an optical element module can reliably be reduced. SOLUTION: The structure for fitting the optical connector is equipped with an optical plug 1 which has a locking arm 9, a receptacle 2 which has a lock part 38 for the locking arm 9, and a fitting state detecting member 3 which detects the state of fitting of the optical plug 1 and the receptacle 2. Moreover, a fitting part 22 which fits into the lock part 38 and a fitting backlash absorption part 25 which absorbs the fitting backlash produced between the lock part 38 and the fitting part 22 are formed in the locking arm 9. In the fitting state detecting member 3, furthermore, there is formed a locking arm push-up part 51 which forces up the locking arm 9 at the complete fitting of the lock part 38 and the fitting part 22 and brings the fitting backlash absorption part 25 into contact with the lock part 38.</p> |
