PUMP MECHANISM AND INK JET RECORDING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable and reliable pump mechanism for an ink jet recording device exhibiting a high pumping capacity without affected by influences such as environmental conditions by a compact constitution. SOLUTION: This pump mechanism feeds ink and/or air by change in the volume of a cylinder chamber caused by vertical movement of a piston. A rubber elastic member 34 having an annular recess part 38 formed into a recessed state in the direction of having a swelling by a pressure generated by the piston along the circumferential direction of the piston 33 is attached to the piston and the cylinder chamber 35 is hermetically closed by the rubber elastic member.
