PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, which forms a finer and comfortable temperature distribution in a room by appropriately changing the diffusing direction according to the condition of the room. SOLUTION: A supply air path 16 is defined by a casing 11, a front panel 12 and a guide plate 15. In the supply air path 16, a heat exchanger 17 is disposed opposite to a suction port 13 and horizontal louvers 18a, 18b and a vertical louver 19 are disposed, confronting with a diffuser 14. A reversible fan 20 is disposed in an inner space made between the heat exchanger 17 and the vertical louver 19. The suction port 13 is provided with a grill 21, which is detachable from the front panel 12, and an air filter 22 on the downstream side thereof. Further, a drain pan 23 is arranged below the heat exchanger 17.
