METHOD FOR PRODUCING AROMATIC POLYCARBONATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic polycarbonate having excellent color phase with little foreign matter, providing with a piping through which molten reaction mixture passes which is free from a residing part of reaction mixture thus causing no deterioration of quality in the piping even in case of scaling-up of the production facility. SOLUTION: This production facility for continuous melt polycondensation of an aromatic polycarbonate has a transporting piping X connecting with adjacent treatment facility of the aromatic polycarbonate in which the inner diameter of the piping X is D (cm) and the flow rate of the reaction mixture is Q (cm3/s), where a relation expressed by D<2.9×Q1/3 is realized for all piping X transporting the reaction mixture within the production facility of the aromatic polycarbonate.
