The present invention relates to a power train for a hybrid vehicle, employing one motor to save costs and improve efficiency and effectively achieving various multiple modes such as a high efficiency electric vehicle (EV) mode and a parallel hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) mode, a series mode, a direct connection mode or the like depending on various drive situations. According to the present invention, the power train for a hybrid electric vehicle comprises an input shaft, an output shaft, a motor, an electric device and multiple clutches. The input shaft is connected to an engine. The output shaft is arranged in parallel with the input shaft. The motor is connected to the input shaft and the output shaft. The electric device is installed among the engine, the motor and the output shaft. The multiple clutches are installed on the electric device. Since the multiple clutches are selectively coupled and released, conversion between multiple modes is achieved. |
