A conventional photocatalytic air purifier needs a separate high function dry filter for filtering dust by irradiating ultraviolet rays onto a structure having a photocatalytic material coated on the surface thereof and by passing dry air. A high function filter of such a conventional photocatalytic air purifier should be often replaced, and a black byproduct is generated on a coating surface due to a catalytic reaction, so filter efficiency is degraded and a problem such as frequent cleaning and malfunction occurs. To this end, the present invention provides a photocatalytic air purifier having sterilizing and deodorizing functions. The photocatalytic air purifier according to the present invention irradiates ultraviolet rays to contaminated air fed in a housing thereof and sprays a photocatalytic solution or causes a catalytic reaction during a photocatalytic filter passing procedure. |
