PURPOSE: An XY mapping apparatus and a method thereof are provided to improve an XY mapping operation by installing a recognition unit. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of frames(33) is provided with a conveyer for transferring an objective member on an upper portion thereof. A table(34) is installed on a lower portion of the frame(33), risen and fallen by a rising/falling unit(35), and provided with a recognition unit(34a). An image sensor(36) is installed on the upper portion of the table(34) to sense the recognition unit(34a) of the table(34). The rising/falling unit(35) is made of a pneumatic cylinder. The recognition unit(34a) is made of a latticed grid. An XY axis includes a first Y axis(37a), a second Y axis(37b), and a third X axis(37c) moving along the first and second Y axes(37a,37b), the first Y axis(37a) facing the second Y axis(37b).
